STOP THE REVOLVING DOOR!
25 million men and women are incarcerated in the United States. How does that impact our community. For every felon behind bars 2 children are without a father or mother. The real numbers 75 million men, women and children are serving time behind bars. when we really look at the real number of families impacted by incarceration it can easily rise to over 100 million Americans incarcerated and impacted. Stop the Revolving Door wants to change that by assisting ex-felon in getting their lives back. We have programs to challenge them to deal with the underlying issues of that have led to a life behind bars. Through spiritual, physical, mental and educational programs we can make a difference. We have program that deal with addiction, homelessness, anger, low self-esteem, lack of education and more..

For the past 12 years Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion church and the Zion Enrichment Center have been visiting and ministering to inmates behind bars at the Morgan County Correctional Facility in Tennessee. In 2016, we decided to take a bold step to expand our Prison Outreach Ministry. " We desired to have more impact closer to home." Recently, a team of volunteers trained at the Bradley county Jail Center in Cleveland TN to begin bringing the Message of Jesus Christ to those whom are incarcerated in our hometown. We will begin ministering at the Bradley County Jail in late July early August. We will also begin looking into the Tennessee Department of Justice Take One program which involves mentoring released inmates and assisting them with transitioning back into society. The Take One program is a one-year mentoring program in which faith-based and churches adopt a released inmate and assist them in developing skills, education and strong support system in order to reduce the chances of these individuals returning back to prison.
